Abstract

The UCSG language center proposal is developed witthin a 3Ha plot located at the km. 2.5 of the Samborondon road, Samborondon canton, province of Guayas. The objective of the project is to design a building that will contribute to the training of socially responsible professionals with high linguistic and multicultural competences and, more important, to generate meeting spaces, both inside and outside of the building, procuring in this way the people can socialize, prepare assignments, and spend time, also using the language center not just as the building where they learn, if not where they come to interact. Envisaged from an analysis with its diagnosis, responds to specific constraints of the sector, to achieve the best decisions in formal and functional solutions, respecting the architectural program consigned by the authorities. The volume is configured by the central courtyard that opens onto the river generating visuals from the entire interior part of the project, thus achieving, with a central subtraction, a continuity of the main access with the river. The academic, administrative, social and service areas are arranged in a mode that they don´t generate conflict. It includes three modes of vertical circulation, stairs, elevators and ramps in which articulates the three types of classrooms with their respective types of teaching in order to be competitive with the online learning new methods.
