Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de la Unidad de Obesidad en el Hospital Alcívar de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

Obesity is characterized by an excess of fat in a general way in the body of an individual, the general objective of this business plan is to evaluate the creation of an Obesity Unit that allows providing comprehensive care to the obese patient. The applied methodological study has a mixed approach whose scope is descriptive and non-experimental design, whose data collection tools are the survey and the interview. The surveys were taken to a sample of 385 people and interviews to two experts on the subject and one user. With regard to the results, it is observed that people have turned to a professional to control overweight, therefore, they have incurred a treatment to reduce excess weight. People in 95.1% believe that the existence of an integral obesity unit to help control overweight is an urgent need. The investment needed to create the specialized unit is $ 118,808.41 of which the owner contributes with own capital the value of $ 22,248.41, leaving a difference of $ 96,560, this value is financed with the banking to five years terms, with an interest rate of 10.21% obtaining an IRR of 54% and a NPV of $ 144,350.59, recovering the investment in one year nine months, for this reason the project is financially feasible.
