Abstract

The following topic has been worked under the methodology of case analysis, which was proposed by the Clinical Psychology career of the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, as a practical component for obtaining the degree in Clinical Psychology. The proposed theme is Good Son + success = empty theme chosen to point out the present case of a young man named Ignacio, the objective of the work is: to describe, analyze, interpret and argue in a methodical way, using the psychoanalytic theoretical framework the mechanisms and phenomena that sustain a subjective structure, with the purpose of establishing a diagnostic hypothesis, from the present material. It highlights key concepts such as: obsessive neurosis, desire, emptiness, superego, symptom, demand, and ghost. These key concepts are supportive to be able to sustain the different sayings of the patient in session and thus analyze the subjective position of the same, and through which it was possible to account for the neurotic structure under the obsessive modality of Ignatius, a good son that added in his life success and that during the sessions manages to realize that in reality what he felt was empty, since, everything he wanted was shown as the impossible to realize.
