Abstract

In this research, it was possible to identify and analyze the different concepts based on the psychoanalytic current, to support and reveal the structural diagnosis from the following clinical case originally referred to as "Miriam´s Case". The voice and look of Miriam, with her speech, points to a Neurosis in hysterical mode. Analyzing the different moments that she relates in concern of her childhood, and different relationships with the members of her family, it turns out that it is what takes her urgently to therapy, where she complains about the Other. In an analysis, there is an opening to listen and she complains about her economic difficulties but throughout the development of the analytical work, we would see other scenes about Miriam's life, in which her subjective position could be evidenced. What worries her is what mobilizes her; it is possible to reveal certain identifying features with certain stories of her parents that make Miriam fall into a repetitive cycle of "taking charge" and "being protective" to account for her existence. In the end, protecting the Other is a way of existing as a subject.
