El horror y las respuestas singulares a lo catastrófico del paso de una pandemia en la época del Otro que no existe.

Abstract

The aim of this degree work is to carry out an analysis of the horror and the singular answers to the catastrophic, that the Subject manifests, in front of the passage of a pandemic in an epoch where the Other does not exist. The method used in this research work was the qualitative one, through which, by means of the interviews made to professionals, it was possible to obtain the pertinent information to sustain the approach and development of the theoretical framework of this research project. A compilation of the most significant epidemics and pandemics, and how they have been addressed, is presented, along with the responses that were made by the subjects in that context. In this way, a comparative analysis is made and these interviews are taken from those who have directly received the subjects at the height of the pandemic, arriving at the consultation in a pure state of distress. Therefore, by analyzing these interviews, with the bibliographic review made and through the theoretical background that supports this work, it was possible to show how the subjects have had to resort to their own invention as a way of responding to the horror, due to the lack of it by the Other. The results of the tools used also indicate that, in effect, this pandemic has been mobilizing for the subjects, and that they have not managed to make symptoms as a first response, but rather, in their absence, it is the act that has prevailed.
