Abstract

This document proposes the design of an Artisan Market inserted in the commercial and patrimonial center of the city of Guayaquil. The artisan market seeks to generate a space of interests, which, in addition to serving for the sale of native crafts of the Country, is not only an exclusive place for artisans and tourists; turn it into a reference space for the community. That promotes the integration of society and that they are attractive both for the merchant and consumers. The new Artisan Market for the center of Guayaquil, located on Loja Street, between Vicente Rocafuerte and Panamá streets, in a lot of 4,960.00 m² Located on the site of ESPOL, current property of the aforementioned owner. A permeable commercial design is proposed, in addition to a plaza exterior, giving it a favorable auction of the Manuel J. Calle streets. And Panama, what are able to connect with each other through the use of public space.
