La elección sintomática en los amores de Magdalena.

Abstract

In this paper we will analyze the case of Magdalena, a patient with a neurotic structure with a hysterical pattern who, upon learning of her husband's intention of wanting to separate, goes to the psychologist with great anguish. The husband's repetitive infidelity accounted for the symptomatic choices of a loving partner that the patient sustained. Thus, throughout the course of the case, each episode of Magdalena's childhood, adolescence and adulthood will be dismantled, moments that show the strategies and signifiers that sustained a constant interrogant about femininity. The patient will expose in her body and in her speech the lack of sense in her life, traumatic episodes of her childhood and the consequences that these had in her life, while she will reconcile with her true affections. The key concepts of the case stand out: the dissatisfaction that she sustains, the conversion symptoms of those she suffers, the repression and the identification with the father. Key Words:
