Abstract

This paper will provide management with a clearer picture of the financial and economic situation of the institution in addition to knowing the cash flows necessary to maintain operational activity, determining the balance point and cost efficiency are important points in the present investigation. Educational units are business models that make it possible to financially forecast what future flows will be, almost exactly because, depending on the number of students enrolled in a school period, all the income that the institution will have will depend on this. However, financial forecasts should be focused on three main axes, such as: the collection portfolio, operational costs, and expenses. These must be projected to a whole fiscal year despite receiving income for only 10 months. And this is where the challenge of management begins, who with the correct financial tools will be able to face all the liquidity requirement.
