Abstract

The Pacific Alliance was born in order to strengthen and unify regional ties in trade in the countries that have the maritime route of the Pacific Ocean and in a way that confronts hegemonies and more successful unions such as the European Union. As a general objective, it was proposed to investigate the market potential for Ecuadorian productions that would participate in the Pacific Alliance integration program. The research proposed is of a non-experimental type because the variables will not be manipulated, that is, the generation of data is not interfered with under any circumstances. This research is of a transactional type because data will be taken in an established time and space. The approach is qualitative with an exploratory descriptive correlational scope. The logical methods used is the inductive. On the other hand, the synthetic logical method, culminating in the socio-critical paradigmatic methodology of secondary and primary sources. In conclusion, the Pacific Alliance economic integration agreement encourages the participation of Ecuadorian products in member countries with low or zero tariff rates. This occurs in both ways, so this alliance is perceived as a good development opportunity. The potential products that benefit from the agreement are bananas, cocoa, shrimp and flowers. In the industrial part, the subject of oils, fats, coffee, chocolate and peanut derivatives have great potential.
