Abstract

"Miriam: la complacencia del deseo del Otro", is a case analysis which deals with Miriam, a woman who comes to consultation due to the discomfort she feels for the problem that is being generated in her family environment, because her husband is unemployed and she is the one who bears the economy, causing in her feelings of anguish, presents catastrophic ideas, for fear that the economic situation is deteriorating since he could not continue saving. The structure of this analysis will be psychoanalytic, to reach this interpretation, several important points will be taken that will help in the investigation of the case, several factors will be taken into account such as the phenomenological level, where the reason for consultation is investigated, the history of the symptom; the dynamic level where Miriam will be analyzed in front of the ghost and her position with the Other and the structural level where from her speech and what is analyzed in the other levels it can be concluded that it is a case of Hysterical Neurosis. This desire for complacency takes her to the limit of disaffoning herself, in order to put herself at the service of the Other, because at all times her symptom speaks of the discomfort, she feels at not being able to give more than she gives, which puts her in a position to serve the Other at all times, identifying that position as his significant master.
