La penalización del sistema de propiedad intelectual en el Ecuador.

Abstract

The Intellectual Property system is aimed at the protection of human creations resulting from the person's own ingenuity, this protection is made effective in different ways, being the current regulations (Intellectual Property Law and Ingenios Code) the basis for the state to protect the rights derived from this branch. Thus, the Ecuadorian criminal system has incorporated into its legislation the criminal types necessary to sanction any attack against the protected legal asset that Intellectual Property becomes; however, this regulation is not sufficient and does not comply with the applicability regime of the International Treaties that regulate this matter.
