La incidencia del deseo materno en la constitución subjetiva del niño con síndrome de Down.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the incidence of maternal desire in the subjective constitution of the child with Down syndrome, to determine how the mother in this relationship with the child, by placing him in his place of object of desire, unconsciously assumes him as a disabled child. and to that extent it makes it impossible for him to access as the subject of his own desire and this affects his subjective constitution. The psychoanalytic theory and approaches of the health sciences in relation to the child with Down Syndrome were taken into account. Next, the maternal function in the subjective constitution of the child was determined, in order to identify how the mother's desire could become an obstacle to the subjectivity of the child with Down syndrome. It is a research with a qualitative approach, under the interpretive paradigm, the methods were case study and explanatory, the documentary bibliographic technique, observation and semi-directed interviews were used to collect information, in the cases worked with children with Down syndrome. The mother's role with respect to the care and attention she provides to the child is essential for it to survive; however, this could only help the child in the first months of life, since later it would become an obstacle to the development of her basic skills or in the development to form bonds; turning the child into an object where the mother's desire prevails and thus hindering the child's subjective constitution.
