Proyecto de fortalecimiento de la cohesión social de la comunidad “La Canela”, cantón Palanda, provincia de Zamora Chinchipe, 2022.

Abstract

Based on a participatory diagnosis carried out with the members of the rural community "La Canela", belonging to the canton of Palanda, province of Zamora Chinchipe, based on the theory of social constructionism and the IAP (Participatory Action Research) approach, the needs and problems existing in the sector were identified. A proposal aimed at strengthening the social cohesion of the community was proposed, as the key cause of the existing problems was considered to be the scarce citizen participation of the community members and the lack of cohesion among them. From the socio-educational approach of the Social Work intervention, a process is proposed that seeks to improve the quality of relationship and participation, as well as the articulation with inter-institutional support networks that make it possible to bring the territory closer to the resources to which the community is entitled and that will increase its possibilities of development. This is a bet that seeks, from popular education, to enhance the action and social cohesion of the community.
