| Resumen : | Introduction: Impression taking is an important step in dental procedures. Currently we have two methods; on the one hand we have the conventional method which is the classic procedure. And on the other hand, we have the digital system that is revolutionizing due to its qualities. Objective: To determine the prevalence of the conventional impression system or the digital impression system in dentists in Guayas. Materials and methods: It is a non-experimental, quantitative, cross-sectional, prospective and analytical study. It consisted of a sample of 85 dentists to whom an online survey was carried out through google forms, these data were tabulated, graphed and analyzed through measures of central tendency. Results: General dentists use the conventional method in dental consultations with 86%, while the digital system obtained 2%. Specialist dentists achieved 46% who use the conventional system. I continue with 2% in the digital method. Conclusion: The prevailing method in the dentists surveyed in Guayas is the conventional method. However, the use of digital systems is spreading. |
| Descripción : | Introducción: La toma de impresión es un paso importante para los procedimientos odontológicos. Actualmente contamos con dos métodos, por un lado tenemos el método convencional que es el procedimiento clásico. Y por otra parte, tenemos el sistema digital que está revolucionando por sus cualidades. Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia del sistema de impresión convencional o sistema de impresión digital en odontólogos del Guayas. Materiales y métodos: Es un estudio cuantitativo no experimental, de tipo transversal, prospectivo y analítico. Consistió de una muestra de 85 odontólogos a los cuales se les realizó una encuesta en línea por google formularios, estos datos fueron tabulados, graficados y analizados mediante medidas de tendencia central. Resultados: Los odontólogos generales emplean en las consultas dentales el método convencional con un 86%, mientras que el sistema digital obtuvo un 2%. Los odontólogos especialistas consiguieron un 46% los que usan el sistema convencional. Continúo con 2% en el método digital. Conclusión: El método prevalente en los odontólogos encuestados del Guayas es el método convencional. Sin embargo, se está extendiendo el uso de sistemas digitales. |
