Valoración del temperamento del cachorro de perro por medio de Test de Quéinnec en criaderos de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The development of the dog has different stages, each one has an important role in the formation of its character and temperament. The environment in which the dog develops, the type of breeding it follows, the type of breeder it has and the proper monitoring of training according to the breed contribute greatly to the behavior that the puppy will present throughout his life. This work aims to identify the type of temperament presented by five weeks puppies from different breeding centers based on the reactions they present in a test, in this way, we will qualify them as aggressive, shy or sociable. For the research, the Quéinnec Animated Toy test was applied for three weeks to 32 puppies between five and eight weeks of age, corresponding to litters of: Labrador retriever, Border collie, Shih Tzu, Pitbull, Yorkshire terrier, Siberian Husky and French Bulldog. In the results it shown that the breed has a greater incidence in the temperament of the puppies compared to age, sex and type of kennel because the value obtained in terms of the variable race was lower than the minimum count expected in the Chi-square test.
