Abstract

The present work deals with the subjective level changes of the mother, during conception, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and puerperium, its general objective is to analyze the changes during these important stages in the life of the mother, and as specific objectives those of delimiting the changes that can occur during these periods and characterizing the limits and possibilities of the use of psychoanalysis as a conceptual framework to understand the subjective changes during the periods before, during and after pregnancy, the qualitative method was chosen since it It is the most consistent with the purpose of this research because four mothers were interviewed in order to distinguish the changes at the subjective level of the mothers. Due to the results obtained, we had a better vision of how subjectivity is involved with respect to the environment in which the mother finds herself and how psychoanalysis, as well as having limitations, has many possibilities at this important stage in the life of the mother.
