Abstract

The purpose of this degree work was to inquire about the experiences of parents when punishing their children as a way of discipline and to determine the different ways they managed to transmit the rules in order to avoid physical punishment through the application of interviews. Biographical information to parents and professional experts, as well as documentary research since the methodological approach applied in this study was qualitative, and therefore, it was sought to collect and analyze the data obtained to carry out an understanding of the experiences. lived by the fathers and mothers when making use of physical punishment since there are few occasions in which there is a space for the father or mother to express what they feel and, above all, what they think, that is, to question themselves about his violent act. This investigation obtained as a result that parents currently rely on a dialogue tool and the implementation of rules at home since they have given it great importance to achieve an adequate way of transmitting the rules and guidance of the child, without having to resort to physical abuse.
