El seguimiento como estrategia de intervención del trabajo social en la salud ocupacional. Estudio en empresas privadas de la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

Through this research study, the intervention strategies in the follow-up carried out by Social Work within the Occupational Health Department in private companies in the city of Guayaquil and the perceptions of the collaborators regarding this follow-up were analyzed. The collaborators of the private companies defined that they are satisfied with the actions performed by the Social Worker, based on the interviews conducted with the Social Workers, that the Social Worker within the Occupational Health Department does not have defined functions, in each organization he/she performs activities according to what is needed in conjunction with the other professionals in the area. This research work is of a mixed type, where qualitative and quantitative approaches were combined, in order to obtain a broader perspective of the problem under study. The level of the research is descriptive, since it will collect and measure information on the variables to be investigated. It is an exploratory type of research, since it is a subject that has been little studied. Two hundred surveys were applied and the results were tabulated in Excel and analyzed in a mixed manner, as well as interviews with three social workers who work in private companies and have intervention with the occupational health department.
