Abstract

The objective of this degree work is to analyze the relationship between work stress and quality of life of police officers in the Calderón Police District, in order to contribute to the construction of public policies aimed at this population. For which a quantitative approach methodology has been applied, as well as a level and type of exploratory-descriptive research. For this, we worked with a sample of 113 police officers from the city of Quito to whom a survey, a CPP Psychosomatic Problems Questionnaire and a WHOQOL-Bref scale were applied. In this way, results were obtained that demonstrated the impact of work stress on the health dimensions of these people, reflecting that the environmental dimension has higher percentages, followed by lower values by the dimensions of physical, psychological and mental health. social relationships. The demands that affect the work well-being of these police officers and even the role expected of them must be analyzed, which is why real results were not always obtained.
