Mujeres feministas de la provincia de Cotopaxi : liderazgo y participación comunitaria en el periodo 2020 - 2023.

Abstract

This research work takes a qualitative approach, which includes applied, field and documentary research. The general objective is to, ‘characterize the contributions of feminist leaders toward gender equality in the province of Cotopaxi in the 21st century’. As part of the research methodology in gathering information, techniques such as interviews with four feminist leaders from the province of Cotopaxi were used, with the purpose of identifying their contributions and their criteria on gender equality and the validity of women's rights. Throughout this process, female leadership was investigated, considering factors that include violence and female discrimination and the roles and struggles of female leaders for the empowerment of women in various contexts such as economic, political or social. The research has noted the importance of female participation and the success that it has already achieved; however, there are still aspects in which greater achievements and equality are sought.
