Percepciones sobre discriminación de género y prevención. Caso de estudio con una comunidad educativa de un centro de estudios particular del cantón Quito, en el año 2024.

Abstract

The objective of this document is to analyze the forms of prevention of gender discrimination among adolescents implemented by a private educational center in the city of Quito, in order to generate inputs for the strengthening of preventive programs carried out in educational centers. This was achieved through a mixed, descriptive, applied and case study methodology. Determining a sample to whom a survey and an-interview were applied. Being able to determine as final points, that all actors in this educational community must work hand in hand, that a social worker must be included as a fundamental professional in this intervention and prevention. That this institution is only based on talks and training that are determined not to be sufficient to address this problem, and that this stage of their lives must be taken advantage of, as well as this space for socialization, to modify any negative gender behavior that encourages these patterns and stereotypes of inequality and discrimination.
