Abstract

This thesis aims to document and analyze the process of creating an informative podcast about Formula 1 aimed at a beginner audience. The project arose in response to the growing demand for content that clearly and accessibly explains a sport that, despite its recent popularity, continues to be perceived as technical and exclusive. Throughout the work, the conceptualization of the audio product, the development of scripts, the selection of topics, and the application of narrative resources aimed at facilitating the understanding of motor racing from an introductory perspective were addressed. The episodes developed include explanations of basic rules, roles within a team, types of tires, the qualifying format, and key concepts such as aerodynamics and race strategy. The main focus was on translating this technical content into everyday language without losing informational rigor, which represented one of the greatest challenges of the process. As a result, it was found that the podcast format offers a flexible and educational structure, suitable for bringing complex topics to non-specialized audiences. The experience also allowed for reflection on the role of journalism in sports reporting and in the formation of new audiences.
