Abstract

This title work proposes the architectural design of an interpretation and visitor reception center in the Velasco Ibarra wetland, located in Salinas, with the purpose of creating a space to raise awareness about the wetland and the ecosystem found in it. This project seeks to highlight the significant ecological, social and cultural value of this space, promoting its conservation through the use of sustainable strategies, including bioclimatic design, the use of local materials and renewable energies. The center aims to be a reference of ecotourism and environmental education, providing an enriching experience for visitors, with the aim of promoting the connection with the natural environment. This proposal seeks to mitigate the current threats facing the wetland and ensure its long-term preservation.
