Abstract

The present project of titling proposes the interior design for the Ecuadorian German Cultural Center (CCEA) of Guayaquil through the intervention of internal spaces, outdoor gardens and facades of the building. The cultural center is located north of the city of Guayaquil, in the citadel Kennedy Vieja, where German language courses are held, art exhibitions, film screenings and cultural festivals. The building has several years of construction and its current distribution does not adequately meet the needs of users, especially people with reduced mobility. The objective is to redesign areas incorporating ergonomic and anthropometric criteria in furniture, bioclimatic study on facades and garden design to improve distribution, functionality and aesthetics of spaces. Applied a project methodology supported by quantitative tools for data collection and qualitative to analyze the problem of the site.
