Abstract

The present thesis proposes the design of a concentration accommodation within a sports city of Club Sport Emelec-Rf, conceived as an integral model of infrastructure for the training and concentration of professional footballers. The proposal is developed in the urban and natural context of Guayaquil, Ecuador, taking as reference the relationship between architecture, urbanism and sports sustainability. The project seeks to respond to the functional, social and environmental demands of a high-performance complex, articulating architectural design criteria, spatial efficiency and user well-being. The Sports City is configured as a multifunctional and walkable complex, where pedestrian mobility predominates over vehicle use, significantly reducing the environmental footprint and promoting an active experience with the landscape. The main focus of the complex is concentration accommodation for local and foreign players, complemented by training spaces, physical recovery, recreation and technical and operational support services. The design integrates natural lighting and thermal comfort. Landscape planning strengthens the relationship between built environment and ecosystem, promoting biodiversity and the perception of a healthy and harmonious environment.
