Inmigración en Ecuador : incidencia en el mercado laboral en la ciudad de Guayaquil.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the incidence of immigration in the labor market in the city of Guayaquil. The elaboration of the theoretical framework was based on relevant theories of immigration and the relationship that exists with the labor market, factors such as employment, wages, demand and labor supply were analyzed. The research method is qualitative and quantitative, the focus of the research is explorative, descriptive and correlational. The instruments for gathering information were basically interviews “establishments” in Guayaquil (employers and employees). Surveys were applied to immigrants from Peru, Colombia, Cuba and Venezuela. It is concluded that immigration in Ecuador in recent years has affected the labor market in Guayaquil, affecting employment levels for the local population and their income.
