Abstract

The case to be presented consists of the clinical analysis of a hysterical neurosis, the interesting thing about it is that it is a hysterical male neurosis with the choice of homosexual love object. Esteban's life, a 28-year-old boy, a university student, without a job and living with his mother will be announced. He had analytical experiences since childhood and in his story shows that his discomfort arises since childhood. Upset towards the father who was absent during his childhood, towards his mother who complains when he "left him alone", discomfort in their love relationships and in their social and university life. A tour was made through Esteban's manifestations such as acts, dreams, fragments and pieces of memories of his life in all areas where he operates, which serve to reveal his psychic structure. We proceeded to make a description and an analysis of the discomfort of the subject from his complaints and dissatisfactions, the subjective position he takes and the way of doing with his discomfort. In order to sustain a structural diagnosis of hysterical neurosis of the main character, several shared terms will be used within the psychoanalytic approach such as symptom, trauma, ghost, among others to develop the case analysis. At the same time, it will be related to the theory of authors such as Freud and Lacan, experts in the psychoanalytic field, to support the methodical interpretation of said structure.
