Abstract

The present work aims to clarify the obsessive neurotic structure by means of a clinical case, with which the use of psychoanalytic concepts and theorizing will become evident. The case accounts for the obsessive thoughts, the ghost of the subject in said structure, his particular symptoms that lead him to the doors of analysis, the way in which jouissance appears in the subject, and the articulation with this depressive picture that it concerns and makes it impossible to make a social bond with others. The subject appears phenomenologically depressed, with an uncontrollable sadness, and with the constant concern of doing things right or wrong. This consumes him mentally, being strange to him, since he is always considered a good son, father, and friend. The concern of others for said depressive state and certain aggressive attitudes invite him to seek help and to find more things in the aspect of his story.
