Abstract

Magdalena: the death of an idealized love is the analysis that is based on the story of a woman with a structure of hysterical neurosis, who cries out for help and suffers greatly from the disenchantment caused by a love that is broken as a result that the husband expresses not wanting to live with her because he feels oppressed. The reality of her marriage makes the ideal of love with which she lived her relationship untenable. It is as a result of this that she realizes that she has lived in the same way in previous relationships and within her family nucleus. In the sessions she comments on her childhood experiences and her relationship with parents, these experiences are significant in the constitution of a subject, which resulted in Magdalena establishing an idealization of love: the ideal husband, the ideal wife, the ideal family .
