Análisis del discurso de los memes dentro del contexto cultural ecuatoriano durante la pandemia del Covid-19 caso : Ecuadorean Wave ミームズ.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that reached Ecuador in early 2020 impacted the social environment with great magnitude, so much so that interactions went beyond the physical space and moved to digital spaces. That is when social networks come in and begin to fulfill the role, not only to entertain, but to facilitate the creation of informative pieces of expository character. It is for this reason that this study analyzes the discursive construction of the memes published by the Facebook page, Ecuadorean Wave ミームズ, in order to portray in a synthesized way what Ecuadorian citizens experienced during the beginning of the pandemic. For this, Gabriel Pérez Salazar's Internet Meme Theory and studies developed from it are taken as references. Likewise, research related to the behavior of users in social networks and the various theories of social imaginary are considered, since these aspects are of vital importance to understand the user, his ''creative process'' when creating an identity in a digital space and his capacity of immersion with other users. A discourse analysis, developed from this research can facilitate its study. Also, the use of interviews with specialists and experts would contribute to understand the current criteria about the phenomenon of memes and in general, what is published in social networks and other spaces of interaction between users.
