Abstract

The present Titration work had as a general objective to analyze the influence of the decline of the family as a symbolic Other in the emergence of acting out in adolescents through the qualitative approach for a possible clinical practice with adolescents. The importance of the investigation lies in how this symbolic Other has a vital impact on the adolescent's life, since it is at this stage where the subject resignifies everything that he has built subjectively in childhood. Therefore, the specific objectives were to characterize the family as a place of the symbolic Other through documentary research; describe the emergence of acting out in adolescents through bibliographic sources; and to identify the aspects of the family that influence the emergence of acting out in adolescents, through semi-directed interviews with clinical Psychology professionals. The methodological approach was qualitative of a descriptive nature, which was carried out through semi-directed interviews with mental health professionals with experience in adolescents, located in the city of Guayaquil. In the same way, a theorization based on bibliography belonging to the branch of psychoanalysis was carried out, in order to find a correlation with what was mentioned by the professionals. In which it was obtained as a result that, although these acts can occur due to different factors, it is found that the Other in the life of the subject will be vital for the subjective construction of this.
