Abstract

The present work will expose what is the repercussion of the diagnosis in the construction of the child's self from an extensive bibliographic review from psychoanalysis, dynamic and social psychology. This investigation was carried out due to the importance of knowing how the self of the subject, of this child, is affected by a diagnosis and how it can be identified with said label. Its objective is to analyze the repercussion that can occur in the self of the diagnosed child, to highlight the importance of the psychological approach in the clinic with children. This research was carried out with the qualitative approach, interpretive paradigm, descriptive method, collection of information from bibliographic reviews, survey instruments and the sampling were clinical psychologists and mothers with a diagnosed child. The result obtained was that the child is able to identify from his diagnosis by various areas, the social in conjunction with the label, the family and how the parents transmit and address this diagnosis, and the personal, the self of the subject, in how it looks and exists before the world. In conclusion, each subject is different, the diagnosed child will not be the same as another; Therefore, the necessary approach to observe this differentiation and particularity of each subject is important.
