Abstract

This document proposes the development of a CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) collaborative housing, consisting of social housing and public interest housing in the downtown of the city of Guayaquil. The design aims to help the recovery of the Panama street area, by implementing a direct integration with the pre-existing public space. On the other hand, various types of housing units are designed to fit the different needs of the users. In addition, it is expected that the residents of the complex interact with each other at the common spaces assigned. The project aims to contribute to the housing deficit in the city’s downtown and helps establish a collective housing prototype to be replicated in the future.
