Abstract

In this paper aims to show the current situation of the reconstruction of Pedernales after the earthquake of April 16, but especially what happened to the promise made by the government almost 4 years ago of the New Pedernales. The research techniques that were used, were through interviews, observation of the little progress that this city has in terms of infrastructure, the needs of the canton, the contradictions that the authorities and citizens have, about the progress of Pedernales and documentary review. Furthermore, how the citizens have tried to get ahead with their work and build their homes and businesses. This report, through statistics, figures, versions and photographs, show the real state of the city and the little help they have received.
