Representación de las mujeres periodistas en los programas deportivos de señal abierta de Guayaquil, durante el periodo 2015 a 2020.

Abstract

This project was developed with the objective of analyzing the representation of women in sports journalism on the open signal channels in Guayaquil. In order to do that, quantitative and qualitative investigation techniques were used. Multiple interviews were carried out and they allowed to know what different people who are immerse the world of sports journalism, think about the way women are currently represented in the programs. Through the analysis of results, it could be stablished that the representation of women within open signal sports programs in Guayaquil, in relation to men on said programs, has had a considerable base regarding gender inclusion and program structure. If a comparison is made between the way things were and the way things are now, it can now be said that women begin to have more visibility in the programs and start performing new functions. However, there is still inequality of opportunities due to the fact that commentary and analysis panels are still being leaded mostly by men.
