La construcción del relato noticioso acerca de la movilización indígena de octubre de 2019, en Ecuador, en los medios de soporte digital GK y Primicias.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the news story around the national strike of October 2019, promoted by CONAIE, in the media with digital support GK and Primicias, from the 2nd to the 10th of that month and year, with a mixed investigation. The investigative approach was mixed, since quantitative and qualitative techniques were combined; For both the first and the second specific objective, quantitative content analysis was used, which was applied to a sample of 51 journalistic pieces, 27 from GK and 24 from Primicias. In the third specific objective of the research, the semi-structured interview was used, in addition to the quantitative content analysis, directed at three experts in journalism. Among the most relevant results identified in the GK pieces, it is found that most of the stories offer accurate and objective information, the sources are identified respectively and the title appropriately assimilates the information provided in the body of the news. . Regarding Firsts, it was identified that all the pieces analyzed met the criteria of contextualization, accuracy, impartiality and absence of elements of sensationalism. Through the comparison made between both media and the findings of the interview, it is concluded that the news stories of Primicias have been created in the best way and with a higher quality in contrast to the GK pieces, since there is research work, diversification of sources and provides a greater context for the news. Although, one of the interviewees expressed that GK is better written.
